Types of Banks

There is mainly 3 types of Banks

1. Commercial Banks - This is also called as Corporate Bank or Merchant Bank. These banks provide products and services to businesses. Banks offer a variety of banking functions to both individuals and business. This operate with profit as a primary module.
2. Retail Banks - It is where you place your savings and do everyday transaction stuff like paying your bills, signing up for a credit or debit card and receiving your salary
3. Investment Banks - This Banks are focused on investments. They usually have large corporations as clientele and offer very specific investment services – trading, brokerage and  helping businesses raise money via public offerings, etc
